The earth has a heartbeat that bleeds tears
In time with a little child’s fear.
The holies dare not rest complacent in the belief
That humankind will love their neighbors as themselves.
The wars and rumours have split open the doors
And something much more malicious has entered in.
Something stirred the dust and the demons awakened
And pulled forth old festering wounds.
Our flesh and blood is no match,
Our tortured minds riddled from afar
With the anxiety of a Zionist scourge.
Men in high places gamble with their very souls
Not knowing, not caring, not wanting to know.
How many of Gods children suffer down below.
We have been here before seen how the ceasefires play out.
All we can do is pray Allah, God,
King of the Universe
Blessed saints that come in the name of the Lord.
I have to believe that love hope and peace prevails.
It is never going to be the same too many lost lives.
Too much has been scratched and burned,
Seared into the book of life.
It is enough that an unsteady balance
holds a pretentious hatred from the door.
Palestinian Children learn how to scrape
What is left of their innocence
From the bloodied streets.
The nations of the world say no more
Still the bombs fall
and while the news of the world turns,
Gaza bleeds.
