Teaching Perspectives: COVID edition

Oh, in fair Corona where we lay this scene
with many bleak views
of the obscene state
of being
of mind
of (ill)repair
something is there
Where knowledge remains
begging
to be re-kindled
re-jigged
re-purposed as it is
re-aligned to meet learning outcomes
with OER materials
fully digital
for ease of access
as long as you can assess the best
part of your home
to concentrate
next to the router
with noise cancelling headphones
trying to not cancel too much
or the internal sound of your own breath
may drive you to distraction
from the knowledge that is there
in the human simulacrum
of online learning
where someone really does care
but they can’t be there
breathing the same air that got us here in the first place.
